GAUCHOS GIVE: FUN IN THE COMMUNITY

The Gauchos are gearing up for the 2014 season, on and off the field! Over the past few months, members of the UCSB Men’s Soccer Team, led by the team’s Community Outreach Coordinator, Waid Ibrahim, a former UCSB forward, have been getting involved working with our community’s youth.

The UCSB Men’s Soccer Team players, Ismaila Jome, Isaiah Trejo, John Rehl, and Andy Perez visited Goleta Elementary to hold a one-hour clinic. The clinic emphasizes individual instruction in a fun-filled environment. The Gaucho’s also sent all of their freshman players to participate in the El Camino Elementary Jogathon to raise money for their school. The players ran alongside the kids, supporting them every step of the way.

The Gauchos love giving back to the community and exciting kids about higher education and student athletics. For more information on up-coming events, please visit our Community Outreach Page.
